Boys Noize - CANCELED
Sunday: German EDM ace drops bass bombs on Myth.
10 p.m. • Myth • 18-plus • $25-$30
Alex Ridha certainly isn't the only one surfing the American EDM wave, but the Berlin star has more substance than many of his contemporaries. Sure he apes Daft Punk a bit, but who doesn't? Recently named to Rolling Stone's 25 DJs That Rule the Earth list, Ridha has bagged big-name collabs with Skrillex, Snoop Dogg and even Minneapolis' own P.O.S., contributing to the local rapper's stormy "Weird Science (We Don't Even Live Here)" -- a connection that probably helped Marijuana Deathsquads land an opening slot. In October, Ridha released his third album, "Out of the Black," packed with electro frog splashes and hints of robotic nu disco. Doorly also performs. MICHAEL RIETMULDER
