Wits: Neil Gaiman

Minnesota Public Radio's live series concludes with local-by-proxy novelist and screenwriter Neil Gaiman and songwriter Josh Ritter, who is also releasing a novel, "Bright's Passage," this summer. They'll join host John Moe and "musical guide" John Munson of the New Standards for a look at Gaiman through stories, songs and spirited (and surely witty) conversation.

Eyeo Festival

For some, the rapidly evolving state of technology can make for a frustrating challenge. For geeks, design junkies and technophiles, it's an exciting time. The first-ever Eyeo Festival features three days of talks, demos, labs and workshops from 30 coders, designers and artists changing the way we experience art, interaction and information. If you're into things like Kinect hacks and gestural computing, or simply an avid Twitter user, there's something for you.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
